Boko Haram group had suffered unprecedented defeat from ISWAP in the long week intensified rival clashes with scores of the terrorists already killed from both sides.

It was gathered that the newest onslaught saw the dislodgement of the Boko Haram Buduma group in Tumbum Ali and Kadunan ruwa in Kukawa LGA.

Zagazola understands that before the withdrawal of Boko Haram, the duo had engaged in a heavy gun battle for about two days between December 15 to December 17.

ISWAP elements within Marte were spotted deploying more heavily armed  fighters on canoes to the Boko Haram rival controlled enclaves.

On December 17, ISWAP reportedly dominated the JAS fighters forcing them to flee towards the axis of Kala in Marte while several others escaped to Darak in the border of Cameroon.

Sources said that more than 40 terrorists were killed from both sides.

The in-fighting between the two terrorist rival groups has worsened a fresh flow of arms and combatants from the Sahel ISIS to join ISWAP in the Chad Basin to restrengthen control of its enclaves from Boko Haram.
