43-year-old man killed outside his home in Bokkos by Fulani armed men

Troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have commenced investigations into the killing of a 43-year-old man, Desmond Ayuba, at Taggai village in Manguna District, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State by suspected fulani armed men.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 27, 2026, when troops responded to a report of an isolated attack and killing of Ayuba by suspected Fulani militias in front of his residence.
Upon arrival at the scene, the troops confirmed that Ayuba had been killed.
Preliminary information obtained at the location indicated that the deceased had reportedly been involved in a series of disagreements with a Fulani family in the village associated with an individual identified as Alhaji Dere.
The circumstances surrounding the disagreement and whether it was connected to the killing remain subject to investigation.
Security personnel have commenced efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack, while further investigation is ongoing to establish the motive and circumstances of the incident.
