Armed Bandits Attack Kungurki Community in Zamfara, Kill Elderly Man and Abduct 13, Including Baby

Armed bandits launched a deadly attack on the Kungurki community in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area in Zamfara late last night, killing an elderly man and abducting 13 residents, including a two month old baby and his mother.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the assailants stormed the village under the cover of darkness, firing sporadically to instill fear among residents. In addition to the abductions, the bandits looted several shops, carting away food items, household supplies, and other valuables.

The attackers moved swiftly, rounding up their victims and retreating into the nearby forest. “It was a terrifying experience,” a resident said. “They took women, children, and an elderly man was killed in cold blood.”
