Army, Police Foil Church Kidnapping, Rescue One Victim in Uso in Ondo  as Six abducted

Six members of the Celestial Church of God, Jordan Parish in Uso along the Uso–Owo Expressway, were reportedly abducted early Wednesday during a church vigil by armed men dressed in military uniform.

 

Zagazola report that the  incident occurred at about 1:50 a.m. when the assailants stormed the church, seizing the worshippers. 

 

Following the report, the Nigerian Army, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Uso, in collaboration with the Ondo State Police Command,local vigilante groups, and hunters, launched aggressive search operations in the surrounding forests and adjoining areas.

 

The joint efforts led to the rescue of one victim, Testimony Adebola, and the arrest of a suspect. Police and military authorities have deployed additional personnel to intensify operations aimed at locating the remaining five abducted worshippers and apprehending the perpetrators.

 

Residents in the area have been advised to remain calm as security agencies continue the rescue and investigation efforts.
