Bandits abduct pastor, wife in Katsina village

Suspected armed bandits have kidnapped a pastor and his wife in Ungwan Adiko Kafari village, Kujama Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Sources told the Zagazola Makama on Wednesday that the incident occurred on Jan. 26 at about 11:50 p.m. when the assailants invaded the community.

According to the source, the victims were identified as Rev. Christopher Rufa’asiri, 35, of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, and his wife, Mrs. Patience Christopher, 45.

“The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) immediately mobilised a patrol team in collaboration with other security agencies to the scene.

The surrounding bushes were cordoned off, and efforts are being intensified to rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators,” the source said.

Investigation into the incident has commenced, and security operatives are working to ensure the safe return of the abducted couple
