Bandits  kill 3 civilian jtf members, injure 1 in niger state attack

Armed bandits have killed three members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) and injured one in Wamba Village via Bangi, Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State.

 

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the  attack occurred at about 10:30 a.m. on May 5, when the armed men, said to be in large numbers, invaded the community with the intention of kidnapping residents.

 

Security personnel  alongside the Civilian JTF, swiftly mobilized and repelled the attack, forcing the bandits to retreat.

 

However, as the assailants withdrew, they ambushed a team of four Civilian JTF members. Three Adamu Babandole, Mani Muhammed, and Salisu Ma’aji were shot and killed, while a fourth, Isah Amodu, sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand.

 

Police operatives visited the scene and evacuated the corpses and the injured to General Hospital, Bangi.
