Bandits Kill Elderly Man in Zamfara After Failed Search for Accomplice

Armed bandits have killed an elderly man in N/Mailayi Village, Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of Zamfara State, after failing to locate a targeted individual, police have confirmed.

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred on Feb. 25 at about 12:50 p.m. when the assailants stormed the village in search of one of their accomplices, who was suspected of violating their rules.

 

Upon failing to find their target, the bandits turned their aggression on the target’s father, Alhaji Usman Kantoma, whom they shot before fleeing to an unknown destination. 

 

The victim died on the spot.
