Bandits kill two, abduct woman in Katsina village attack

Armed bandits have killed two persons and abducted a woman during a deadly attack on Gidan Taro village in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State.

 

Zagazola learnt that the  incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at about 12:20 a.m., when the attackers stormed the village and opened fire indiscriminately.

 

The sources said that two individuals, Rev. Emmanuel Na Allah Auta, 46, and Sama’ila Goma, sustained critical gunshot wounds and were rushed to the General Hospital in Malumfashi, where they were both confirmed dead.

 

The assailants also kidnapped a 25-year-old woman, identified as Maryam Ezikiel, and whisked her away to an unknown location.

 

Security personnel later visited the scene to assess the situation and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators. Efforts are ongoing to track down the kidnappers and ensure the safe rescue of the victim.
