Boko Haram  attack Yobe village, injure boy, kill livestock

Boko Haram have attacked Dameram Village in Tarmuwa Local Government Area, injuring a 10-year-old boy and killing livestock.

 

Sources  said the incident occurred at about 11:10 p.m. on Sunday when about 10 armed men, riding on tricycles and armed with AK-47 rifles, stormed the residence of one Abubakar Kellumi.

 

“The suspects demanded directions to Mafa Ward in Tarmuwa LGA. Before the victim could respond, they shot his son, Bulama Ali, 10, in the leg, leaving him with serious injuries.

 

“They also shot and killed three sheep and a cow before fleeing the scene,” he said.

 

According to sources, security operatives rushed the injured boy to General Hospital, Babangida, for treatment.

 

He said six expended shells of 7.62mm ammunition were recovered from the scene, adding that efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects.
