FC MNJTF VISITS THEATRE COMMAND OPHK
…Seeks Continuous synergy in the fight against insurgency

The Theatre Commander Joint Task Force JTF North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Christopher Musa on Friday 28 October 2022 received in audience the Force Commander (FC) Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Maj Gen Abdul Ibrahim and members of his entourage at Headquarters Theatre Command in Maimalari Military Cantonment, Maiduguri.

The FC revealed that the visit is aimed at strengthening already existing ties between MNJTF and OPHK, with a view of holistically enhancing the troops combat readiness as well as the conduct of the next phase of OP LAKE SANITY and DESERT SANITY, he added.

While commending the Theatre Commander for the tremendous successes recorded in the fight against insurgency, Maj Gen Ibrahim also urged troops not to rest on their oars as they continue to degrade terrorism and restore normalcy in the region. The FC also seized the opportunity to introduce the new Deputy Force Commander, Brig Gen Assoualai Blama to the Theatre Commander and his officers.

In his remarks, the Theatre Commander expressed delight having the FC and other senior officers of Allied Nations working under the umbrella of MNJTF in the Theatre. He commended them for their usual support, cooperation and unflinching attitude towards ending the war against insurgency.

Moreso, Maj Gen Musa stated that the cooperation enjoyed by the Theatre from MNJTF, Para-military agencies, Borno State Government, Hybrid Forces and Civil Society Organizations is critical to the enablement of a joint operations geared towards achieving the overall mandate of the ongoing operation harnessed under the midwifery of the vision of the Service Chiefs.

The Theatre Commander further disclosed that while troops will continue to sustain the tempo, the Theatre will also engage in Cimic activities as part of its non-kinetic strategy in degrading the insurgents and winning the mind and soul of the civil populace. The Theatre is for us all and we are here because the security of our fatherland and the safety of all Nigerians is paramount to socio-economic growth and national development. We will continue to remain resolute and committed in building a nation where peace and justice reigns, he added.
