Gunmen attack two Benue communities, injure four in separate incidents

Suspected cultists and unidentified gunmen launched separate attacks in Benue State on Thursday, injuring at least four persons in Katsina-Ala and Logo Local Government Areas.
Sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the first incident occurred at about 11:00 p.m. in Katsina-Ala, where one Emmanuel (surname withheld) was shot in the shoulder by suspected cultists near the Head Bridge area.
The victim was immediately rushed to Toro Hospital in Katsina-Ala for medical attention.
In a related development, at about 5:30 p.m. on the same day, unknown armed men opened fire along Tse Abi Road in Azege, Logo LGA.
Three individuals identified as Iorhemba Aondonengen, Amo Orseer, and Bem Sughter, all of Ayilamo village, sustained gunshot wounds in the attack.
They were taken to the Primary Health Care Clinic in Ayilamo and are currently receiving treatment.
Security forces have been deployed to both scenes, while manhunts for the fleeing assailants are ongoing.
The security authorities have assured residents of its commitment to tracking down the perpetrators and restoring calm in the affected communities.
