Gunmen kill one, injure two others in Benue

Atleast one person killed and two othered injured by suspected armed men in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue state.
Sources said the incident occurred on Thursday when armed men on motorcycles, led by one Orter of Mbagena Village, attacked farmers at Agber village around Abaji.
According to sources, the suspects abducted Emberga Athany and one other farmer, shot them along Abaji–Tor-Donga road, and left their bodies behind.
The sources said the gunmen further attacked another village between Abaji and Tor-Donga, where they shot and wounded Orduen Anema and Terumbuul Ihiongu on their legs.
He said the injured victims were rushed to General Hospital, Katsina-Ala, where they were receiving treatment.
The sources added that the Divisional Police Officer in Katsina-Ala mobilised patrol and tactical teams to the area, while detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had commenced investigation to track and arrest the suspects.
