Joint Task Force Arrests Suspected Kidnapper in Rivers

The Joint Task Force South-South under Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS), has arrested a suspected kidnapper in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Security sources disclosed that the operation was carried out at about 4:45 a.m. on April 29 in Eleporpordu and Rukpoku communities.
The sources said the suspect, who reportedly hails from Taabaa community in Khana Local Government Area, was apprehended during a covert operation conducted by Maritime Special Task Force 2 alongside DSS operatives in Rivers State Command.
According to the sources, the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks and other criminal activities within the state.
They added that the suspect is currently in DSS custody for further investigation and necessary action.
