Kadafur led southern Borno to commiserates with Zulum, Donates 200 Million Naira to flood victims
The Borno State Deputy Governor His Excellency Dr Umar Kadafur today led Stakeholders from part of Southern Borno to commiserate with the Executive Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and the victims of last week Monday the 10th of September 2024 flood disaster within Maiduguri and Jere LGAs which affects over two million people .
HE Hon Kadafur was accompanied by Sen. Muhammad Ali Ndume , Senator representating Southern Borno, Hon Bello Ayuba Borno State APC Chairman, Former Deputy Governors, APC Deputy Chairman South, Former Ambassador, Emirs of Biu, Shani, Gwoza, Uba, Members Borno State House of Assembly from southern Borno , Permanent Secretaries, former , present and past LG chairmen, Special Advisers , Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, head of agencies and parastatals , former national NLC Chairman Ayuba wabba , APC Stakeholders among others.
Distinguished Senator Ali Ndume presents an introductory speech, saying that with the directives of the Deputy Governor and account was created to make a collective contributions to support our brothers and sisters who are affected by the flooding disaster. Ndume added that as 12:00 pm today the total of two hundred million was raised and the account is still open for continuous contribution.
The Deputy Governor, while presenting the cheque of two hundred million (200,000,000 ) to the Governor sympathised with the victims pray Allah to give them the heart to console the tragedy of the flood and also assured the governor that the account is still open and still receiving donations, as the leader of Southern Borno , he assured that every contributions made to that account will be presented judiciously.
Professor Babagana Umara Zulum mni after recieving the cheque, appreciates the support and commitment of the people of Southern Borno, adding that this is a testimony of unity in Borno State.
Governor Zulum emphasized that it was the Unity that brought us out of the insurgency whereby rebuilding process has gotten a success stories in reconstruction and resettlement with sustainable livehood picking up in most of the returned communities.
Prof Zulum called on the delegation to be very careful and not to allow any politician to disunite the people for his or her own personal gain, urge that Borno must stand united for peace and progress, also assured them that their donations will be use judiciously with fairness by the grace of God.

The Deputy Governor while presenting the cheque of ten million naira (10,000,000) to His Royal Highness the Shehu of Borno Shehu Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-kanemi in his palace , commiserate with the Royal father over the flooding which the palace was submerged during the flooding.
HRH the Shehu of Borno, thank the delegation led by the deputy governor accompanied by the emirs of the southern part of Borno for their contributions to the state and urge them to steadfast in prayers, unity and progress of the state.
