Kano police arrest gang behind multiple kidnappings

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper and several members of his syndicate following the escape of a victim in Shanono Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the victim, Kabiru Umar of Faruruwa Village, who was abducted in May 2025, identified one Inuwa Yusuf, 30, of the same village, as one of his abductors. Acting on this information, the suspect was arrested on Aug. 31, 2025.
During interrogation, Yusuf confessed to the crime and revealed his involvement in multiple kidnappings, including the killing of Malam Isyaku, also of Faruruwa Village.
The investigation led to the arrest of other syndicate members: Ibrahim Shuaibu, Aminu Sani, Kabiru Moh’d, all of Faruruwa Village, and Buhari Habu of Katsina State.
Sources said efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining members of the syndicate.
