Man beaten to death during turbaning ceremony in Yobe

A 25-year-old man, Maina Jano, has died after being attacked during a turbaning ceremony at Barwa Fulani settlement in Kafetuwa, Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Zagazola Makama learnt that the incident occurred at about 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, while youths were engaged in a Shadi competition during the ceremony of Lamido Alhaji Kunjo.
According to the sources, Jano, a resident of Nassara Fulani settlement, Kumaganam, Yusufari LGA, was attacked and beaten by an unidentified man, sustaining serious internal injuries.
He was rushed to the General Hospital, Kumaganam, for medical attention but later succumbed to his injuries.
