Man Fatally Stabbed in Dispute at Monguno IDP Camp

A 30-year-old man, Aji Kawu, was fatally stabbed during a dispute at the RRR Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Monguno Local Government Area, Borno State, on March 5.
Sources said that the incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. following a disagreement between Kawu and another camp resident, Musa Ajit. During the altercation, Ajit allegedly stabbed Kawu in the left shoulder with a knife.
Security personnel responded promptly to the scene, and the injured victim was transported to Monguno General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The body has been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for an autopsy and was later released to relatives for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
The suspect, Musa Ajit, has been arrested.
