Man Suffers Severe Head Injury in Farm Attack as Police Hunt Suspects in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command has launched a manhunt for two suspects accused of attacking a 22-year-old farmer with sticks and cutlasses in Balanga Local Government Area of the state.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident was reported at about 1:00 p.m. on July 13 by Shitu Bello, 40, a resident of Refele Village.
According to the report, the victim, Inusa Bello, 22, was working on his farm at Nassarawa Village at about 12:00 p.m. when he was allegedly attacked by Jume Mai Yara and Sada Mai Yara, both from the same community.
The assailants reportedly beat the victim with sticks and attacked him with cutlasses, inflicting a deep cut on his head before fleeing the scene.
Police operatives visited the scene, while the injured farmer was rushed to the General Hospital, Talasse, where he was admitted for medical treatment.
The Gombe State Police Command said investigations have commenced, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
