One killed in youth violence in Minna, suspect arrested

A young man has been confirmed dead following a violent clash among youths in the Fadikpe area of Minna, the Niger State capital, the police have confirmed.

 

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident  occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday during a reported outbreak of youth restiveness in the area.

 

The police led a surveillance team to the scene where they found the victim, identified as Mohammed Amore, lying in a pool of blood.

 

Amore was rushed to the General Hospital, Minna, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. His body was photographed and deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was stabbed in the chest with a sharp object by one Nura Buhari, who is currently at large.

 

Police said one of the suspected accomplices, Abdullahi Rabiu, has been arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspects.
