The Katsina State Police Command has successfully foiled an armed bandit attack in Bakori Local Government Area and rescued three kidnapped victims, including a woman and her two children.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the attack occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on March 9, 2025, when armed bandits stormed Guga Village in large numbers.

It was gathered that the combined troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA swiftly mobilized to the scene to engage the terrorists, forcing the attackers to retreat.

As the bandits fled, they invaded Nasarawa Quarters in Bakori Town, abducting a woman, Umma Bello (35), along with her two children.

Consequently, but the troops  immediately pursued the criminals, engaging them in a fierce gun battle.

Overpowered by superior firepower, the bandits abandoned the hostages and escaped with bullet wounds.
