Police foil bandit attack, rescue two kidnapped victims in Katsina

Operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have foiled a banditry attempt and successfully rescued two kidnapped victims in Gago village, Dutsinma Local Government Area.

 

Police sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred on Wednesday at about 1:42 a.m. when armed bandits invaded the community.

 

The sources said that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Dutsinma led an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) patrol team to the scene and engaged the attackers in a gun duel, forcing them to flee.

 

During the operation, two kidnapped victims Sada Yahaya, 47, and Zuwaira Sada, 31 were rescued unhurt.
