Police operatives arrest 73 suspects in raids across FCT

A total of 73 suspects have been arrested in a series of raids conducted by the Anti-Narcotic Unit and police operatives from Kabusa, Tungan Maje, Jabi, Apo, Nyanya, Kubwa, Karshi, and Karmo Divisions. 

 

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the  raids took place late on April 21, 2025, at various criminal hotspots and uncompleted buildings across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

 

During the operation, police recovered a quantity of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs. 

 

The police said that the  suspects are currently in custody, undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective divisions. Those found guilty of criminal activity will be charged in court.

 

He added that the police have vowed to continue their efforts in tackling drug abuse and criminal activities in the FCT.
