Police operatives recover body of suspected bandit after Musawa ambush in Katsina

Security operatives conducting clearance operations in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State have recovered the body of a suspected armed bandit believed to have been neutralised during a recent attack on police personnel.
Police sources said the development followed earlier reports of an ambush in which two police personnel were killed and their service weapons carted away by armed bandits.
During subsequent cordon and search operations in the area, security operatives reportedly discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified armed bandit.
The deceased was believed to have been among the attackers neutralised during the encounter with police tactical teams.
He said the area had since been cordoned off as operations continued to track fleeing suspects and recover the missing firearms.
Reinforcement teams from nearby divisions have also been deployed to strengthen the ongoing operation and prevent further attacks along the axis.
