Police, vigilantes launch rescue mission as kidnappers abduct two in Bauchi

Atleast two persons have been abducted in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

 

Sources identified the victims as one Bukhari Alh. Umar and another man known as Alhaji Kangado, whose real name was yet to be ascertained, both residents of Major Bala Bajoga village in Alkaleri.

 

The sources  explained that the victims were kidnapped in the early hours of Aug. 30 by unknown gunmen who whisked them away to an undisclosed location.

 

“Upon receipt of the report, combined teams of policemen, Joint Task Force (JTF) operatives and local vigilantes were immediately mobilised to the area for a rescue mission and to track down the hoodlums.

 

“Patrol of the area and surrounding bushes has been intensified, while investigation is ongoing,” said the sources.
