The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have  been deployed to Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State following an attack by suspected cattle rustlers.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that on February 27, at about 3:30 p.m., armed bandits invaded Dan Tulu and Rusakde villages, rustling an unspecified number of cattle.

The assailants, who arrived on about seven motorcycles, fled with the stolen livestock into the Sokoto Forest.

“No casualties was recorded but the troops

have been mobilized, and security personnel are actively pursuing the rustlers to recover the stolen cattle and prevent future attacks,” he said.

He added that normalcy has been restored in the affected villages, and an investigation has been launched to track down the perpetrators.
