Troops Ambush Insurgents Off Kaduna-Abuja Highway, Neutralize Three

Troops of Sub-Sector 4, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have successfully neutralized three insurgents in a well-coordinated ambush near Ngwagi Hill, Gwagwada Community, off the Kaduna-Abuja highway in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Acting on credible intelligence about the movement of the violent extremists and insurgents (VEIs), the troops were swiftly deployed on a long-range fighting patrol. They reached the suspected crossing point around 5:30 PM on Tuesday, March 11, and launched a surprise attack, effectively eliminating three armed members of the criminal group.
During the operation, the troops recovered a cache of arms and ammunition, including:Two AK-47 rifles, 8 AK-47 magazines, 374 rounds of 7.62mm x 39 special ammunition, 88 rounds of 7.62mm x 54 NATO ammunition, One Infinix mobile phone, Medical supplies and Clothing and dry rations
The General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso, commended the troops for their resilience and precision.
He urged them to sustain the momentum until all criminal elements in the area are neutralized.
