Troops of Sector 1, Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), have arrested six suspected illicit drug dealers during a raid operation in Jenta area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, following intelligence on the activities of suspected illicit drug peddlers operating from a hideout in the area.

During the operation, the troops arrested six suspects found at the identified location.

The suspects were taken into custody and profiled for further investigation and necessary action.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security agencies to disrupt criminal activities and address the illicit drug trade, which can contribute to other forms of insecurity in communities.
