Troops Arrest Suspected Human Trafficker, Rescue Three Teenage Girls in Kaduna

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPEP) have arrested a suspected human trafficker and rescued three teenage girls in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security sources said the arrest was made at about 1:27 p.m. on May 3 by troops of Sector 7 deployed at Madakiya.
The sources disclosed that the suspect was intercepted alongside the victims during routine security operations in the area.
According to the sources, preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was arranging to traffic the teenage girls to Delta State.
They added that the suspect and the rescued girls are currently in custody for further investigation and appropriate action.
The sources noted that efforts are ongoing to unravel the trafficking network and ensure the safety and welfare of the victims.
