Troops arrest suspected notorious kidnapper in Edo

Troops under Operation MESA have arrested a suspected notorious kidnapper, Abacha Burodo, in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended at about 11:14 a.m. on April 12 at Ifeko in Illushi during a joint operation involving troops of 4 Brigade, personnel of the Nigeria Police (NP) and local security outfits.
According to the sources, the operation was based on actionable intelligence aimed at tracking down criminal elements in the area.
They added that the suspect was subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police for further investigation and necessary action.
The sources reiterated the commitment of security agencies to sustaining joint operations to rid communities of kidnapping and other criminal activities.
