Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorists’ Collaborator in Borno

Troops of 403 Amphibious Brigade, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected terrorists’ collaborator in Borno State.
Security sources told Zagazola that the suspect, identified as Alhaji Kaka, aged 20, from Baga town in Kukawa Local Government Area, was apprehended on April 25 at about 7:00 p.m.
The sources said the suspect was arrested while attempting to convey one Mrs. Fatima Modu, aged 20, from Dambua Local Government Area, along with her baby, towards a suspected terrorist location around the Dumba general area.
Items recovered from the suspect included two small Itel mobile phones, personal clothing and other sundry belongings.
According to the sources, the suspect is currently in the custody of 403 Amphibious Brigade for further investigation and possible prosecution.
They added that the general security situation across the theatre remains calm but unpredictable, while troops’ morale and operational efficiency remain satisfactory.
Security operations are ongoing as efforts continue to disrupt terrorist logistics and collaboration networks in the North-East region.
