Troops of 17 Brigade, Operation FANSAN YAMMAN, in collaboration with the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), have arrested suspected terrorist collaborators in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina.

Security sources told Zagazola  that the suspects included a logistics supplier, Aminu Rabiu Zango, 52, and a terrorist informant, Alhaji Abdulrahman Tambaya, also 52.

“Rabiu confessed that his son supplies weapons and ammunition to terrorist kingpin Babaru and recently relocated to Karu, Abuja. He also admitted to working for Alhaji Iliya Zango, said to be Babaru’s superior.

“Tambaya, on the other hand, was found with one of Babaru’s active phone numbers on his handset,” the source said.

He added that another suspected logistics supplier, Ado Dan Zaria, escaped after scaling the fence of his residence when troops arrived. His house was searched and later destroyed.
