Troops arrest two suspected kidnappers in Oyo

Troops of 2 Division Garrison, in collaboration with local vigilantes and acting on technical intelligence, have arrested two suspected kidnappers in Ijana Village, Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Zagazola Makama gathered from military sources that the suspects were apprehended at about 1:50 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2026, in connection with the kidnapping of a Togolese national on Sept. 1 at Adeleji Village, Igbeti general area of the state.
During the operation, the troops recovered 82 cattle and three mobile phones from the suspects.
The arrested suspects and recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
