The troops’ swift intervention forced the criminals to abandon their mission and flee the scene.
A subsequent exploitation of the area revealed that the suspected robbers had attempted to attack a Point-of-Sale (POS) operator identified as Mr Jamilu Bawa.
During the incident, one Dayyabu Mohammed sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and was evacuated to the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) for medical treatment.
Troops recovered four empty 7.62 x 39mm ammunition shells from the scene.
