Troops Foil Kidnapping Attempt, Neutralize Bandit in Katsina

The troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA in Katsina State have successfully foiled a kidnapping attempt and neutralized one bandit in an operation along the Dandume-Sabuwa Road.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the incident occurred at about 2:30 PM on March 27, 2025, when a gang of bandits riding on three motorcycles attempted to abduct farmers at Dungun Sambo.
The troops of Operation Sharan Daji, alongside local vigilante groups (VGN), were swiftly deployed to confront the assailants.
A gun battle ensued, forcing the bandits to flee into the bush with gunshot wounds.
During the exchange, one bandit was neutralized, while an unregistered Honda motorcycle (Engine No. 3179387, Chassis No. N009675) was recovered.
