Troops intercept cattle grazing on farm in Barkin Ladi

Troops of Sector 4, Operation Enduring Peace, have intervened following a report of alleged farm destruction at Wereh village in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The troops responded at about 11:30 a.m. on September 19, 2026, following a report that a farm belonging to Mr Davou Dungvoul had been destroyed.
Upon arrival at the location, the troops intercepted a herd of cattle grazing on the farm without any herder present.
The troops moved the livestock to a safe location for further necessary action and to prevent possible escalation between farmers and herders in the area.
The incident is being handled as part of ongoing security efforts to prevent disputes over farmland and livestock from escalating into violence in the affected communities.
