Troops Intercept Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Two Suspects in Abuja

Troops of 176 Guards Battalion under Operation MESA have intercepted a stolen vehicle and arrested two suspects in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Security sources said the incident occurred at about 7:58 p.m. on June 11 at Abaji Quick Response Group (QRG) location during a routine security operation.
According to the sources, the troops intercepted one suspected stolen vehicle and apprehended two occupants in connection with the crime.
The suspects and the recovered vehicle were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Military authorities said the interception formed part of ongoing joint security efforts under Operation MESA aimed at curbing criminal activities, including vehicle theft and related offences within the FCT and its environs.
They reaffirmed commitment to sustained collaboration with other security agencies to ensure safety and security of lives and property.
