Troops, NDLEA arrest five suspects with illicit substances in Adamawa

Troops of the 247 Reconnaissance Battalion, in collaboration with personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested five suspects during a joint raid operation in Mova community, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was conducted at about 11:00 a.m. on Aug. 29, following targeted operations at various locations within the community.
During the operation, the troops and NDLEA personnel arrested five suspects found in possession of illicit substances.
The suspects were subsequently handed over to the NDLEA office for further investigation and necessary legal action.
The troops returned to base at about 1:30 p.m. the same day.
Sources said the general security situation across the theatre remained calm but unpredictable, while the morale and fighting efficiency of the troops remained satisfactory.
