Troops Neutralise 4 Terrorists, Recover Weapons, Cash in Katsina State

Troops of Forward Operating Base Faskari under Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have neutralised four terrorists during a fighting patrol along the Turare–Yantumaki Road in Dutsinma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security sources said the operation took place on May 2–3 when troops encountered armed terrorists during a routine patrol along the axis.
The sources disclosed that a fierce exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the neutralisation of four terrorists.
According to the sources, troops recovered two AK-47 rifles with magazines, quantities of ammunition, two motorcycles, seven mobile phones, and the sum of ₦153,000 from the scene.
They added that follow-up operations have been intensified in the general area to deny criminals freedom of movement and consolidate security gains.
