Troops neutralize ISWAP fighter in Gwoza ambush operation

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have neutralized a suspected ISWAP fighter in an ambush around Kwatara Kasa village, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, while sustaining no casualties.
Zagazola learnt that the incident occurred at about 2018 hours on 21 November 2025 when troops conjunction with hybrid forces, engaged an unknown number of ISWAP elements along the Gwoza–Limankara road.
During the firefight, one terrorist was neutralized while others reportedly fled towards the foot of the Mandara Mountains, leaving possible gunshot wounds.
