Troops Neutralize Terrorists, Destroy Boko Haram Enclaves in Borno Clearance Operation

Troops of 7 Division, Sector 1, Operation Hadin Kai, have successfully conducted a clearance operation targeting identified Boko Haram (JAS) terrorist enclaves at Tangalanga and Bula Marwa in Borno State.
Zagazola Makama gathered from sources that the operation, carried out on July 7, followed credible intelligence reports indicating the presence and activities of terrorist elements in the general area.
According to the sources, the troops, during the advance into Tangalanga engaged and neutralized two terrorists. The team then proceeded towards Bula Marwa after receiving intelligence on the massing up of terrorists within the location.
On approaching Bula Marwa, the terrorists reportedly fled in different directions. However, one fleeing insurgent was neutralized during pursuit, while several special structures within the camp were destroyed.
The sources said that the operation recorded no casualties on the part of its own troops.
The sources added that recovered items from the operation include six AK-47 magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and one Boko Haram flag.
