Troops of MNJTF Sector 4 in Niger š³šŖ Repel Boko Haram Attack, Neutralise Terrorists
In a display of unwavering courage and resilience, #Niger troops of Sector 4 MNJTF successfully repelled #BokoHaram attacks, neutralising seven terrorists and recovering a cache of weapons and ammunition. The fierce clashes unfolded on 29 November 2023, at Bilabrine.
Promptly following the Bilabrine attack, reinforcement troops dispatched fell into an ambush few kilometres east of N'Guigmi. The Boko Haram's attempt to hinder the reinforcements proved futile as the troops swiftly repelled the ambush, eliminating one terrorist and recovering a significant arsenal of weapons.
Chadian reinforcement troops from Daboua encountered an IED en route to the area, causing a temporary delay. However, their determination to support their Niger comrades remained unwavering, and they successfully reached the scene. The combined forces of Sector 4 MNJTF Niger and Chadian troops embarked on a further operation, meticulously combing the area for any remaining threats. Their efforts yielded the recovery of additional terrorist bodies, AK47 rifle, and machine gun.
