Troops, other Security Agencies Conduct Joint Show of Force in Jos, Secure Church Services

Security agencies have conducted a joint show of force and provided security coverage for church services across Jos metropolis and Bukuru general area in Plateau State.
Security sources said the operation was carried out at about 7:30 a.m. on May 3 by troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) in conjunction with personnel of the Nigerian Air Force 501 Station, Keystone, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), among other sister agencies.
The sources disclosed that the exercise covered major flashpoints within the metropolis and surrounding communities.
According to the sources, the operation was aimed at ensuring hitch-free church services and denying criminal elements freedom of action within the area.
They added that the patrol and show of force were conducted without any incident.
The sources noted that normalcy was maintained throughout the period, with residents going about their religious activities peacefully.
