Troops repel ISWAP attack in Doron Baga, eliminate several terrorists

Troops of Sector 3, Operation Hadin Kai, have successfully repelled an early morning attack by ISWAP terrorists on a military base in Doron Baga, Kukawa Local Government Area, Borno State, neutralising several insurgents in the process.
Zagazola report that the terrorists reportedly stormed the military base at about 2:12 a.m., triggering a fierce gun battle that lasted for approximately 55 minutes. Troops stood their ground and maintained tactical dominance throughout the engagement, which ended around 5:50 a.m.
Security sources said several terrorists were killed during the encounter, while there were no casualties or equipment losses on the side of the troops.
Sources have raised concerns about the possibility of a follow-up attack and urged soldiers and security operatives in the area to remain vigilant and sustain heightened security measures.
Troops said that follow-on operations and patrols are ongoing to prevent any resurgence of terrorist activity in the area.
