Troops repel terrorist attacks in Sokoto, neutralise one in Katsina

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA (OPFY) have repelled terrorist attacks in Sokoto and neutralised one terrorist in Katsina State.
Sources confirmed on Thursday that troops engaged terrorists who attacked Garin Bature village in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
“Unfortunately, two civilians were killed before troops arrived.
In a related development, troops deployed at Maraban Maigora in Faskari LGA of Katsina engaged terrorists in Sabuwa axis and neutralised one of them after a firefight,” the sources said.
The sources added that the troops are continuing clearance operations to deny terrorists freedom of action across the region.
