Troops repelled attack in Bama as one soldier killed in Pulka

The  Nigerian troops of 21 armored Brigade  Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) Bama, have repelled an attack of the Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists on the outskirts of the town in Borno State.

 

It was gathered that the terrorists stormed the town from the Sambisa axis through Yarimari Gana in the early morning of April 24 2023, at about 0200 hours in an attempt to cause havoc.

 

A counter-insurgency expert, and Security analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, gathered that the troops were swiftly deployed to the scene where they engaged the terrorists at the back of the Bama IDPs camp forcing them to flee.

 

Recalled that troops 21-Armored Brigade, Bama,  and 199 Special Forces Battalion in collaboration with  Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), had between April 17 to 20th 2023, killed 35 terrorists and captured one Alhaji Baana after its destroyed 12 camps of the Boko Haram, located in Bama Local Government Area.

 

Meanwhile, ISWAP carried out another  attack in  another military outpost in Pulka. 

 

One soldier paid the supreme price in the attack.
