Troops respond to terrorist attacks in Sokoto and Zamfara, foil planned assault

Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have responded to multiple terrorist attacks in Sokoto and Zamfara States, preventing further casualties and destruction.

 

Zagazola Makama learnt that on Thursday night, terrorists attacked Boto village in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State, killing one person and injuring two others before fleeing.

 

Similarly, troops of 1 Brigade engaged terrorists at Dantsauni, Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara, forcing them to flee.

 

Troops also recovered an abandoned motorcycle in Tureta, Sokoto, while foiling a planned attack on Yar Galadima in Maru Local Government Area, Zamfara, after terrorists diverted to Kalgo village.

 

The troops  said operations are ongoing in the affected areas.
