Troops, Vigilantes Arrest Three Suspected Terrorists in Bauchi Forest

Troops of Operation MESA, in collaboration with local vigilantes, have arrested three suspected terrorists during a clearance operation in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation was carried out at about 4:00 a.m. on July 14 by troops of CSIB XVII at Dutsen Kwadu Forest.
The sources said the joint team apprehended the three suspects during the operation following actionable intelligence on the movement of criminal elements within the forest.
The suspects are currently in custody and are undergoing preliminary investigation to determine their identities, affiliations and possible involvement in terrorist activities.
The arrest is part of ongoing security efforts to deny terrorists and other criminal elements safe havens in Bauchi State and the wider North-East region.
