3rd Wife of NSCDC Commandant-General, Maryam Ahmed Audi, Dies

Mrs Maryam Ahmed Audi, wife of the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, is dead.
Family sources confirmed that she passed away on Monday after a brief illness.
The deceased was widely described as a devoted wife, mother and philanthropist who supported several humanitarian and community development initiatives.
Her death has elicited an outpouring of condolences from senior government officials, security agencies, traditional rulers, associates and well-wishers across the country.
In separate condolence messages, sympathisers described her passing as a great loss to her family and all those whose lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.
They prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and for God to grant the family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in accordance with Islamic rites.
Mrs Audi is survived by her husband, children and other family members.
