Army troops intensified Operations rescued Six kidnapped victims from Boko Haram in Adamawa

At least six persons abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Madagali Local Government Area of the state, have been freed. 

 

Zagazola Makama gathered that the victims were freed on Jan. 31 at about 6:00 p.m. following sustained pressure mounted by joint security operatives.

 

Those released are Lydia Bitrus, Faith Bitrus, Ijapari Bitrus. China Bitrus, Ijasini Bitrus and Ijumdya Bitrus, all of Gare Pallam community in Madagali LGA.

 

The sources said the victims were freed after an intense manhunt by the troops of Operation HADIN KAI, police and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), following their abduction earlier in the month.

 

“They were released unhurt and have since been reunited with their family after undergoing medical checks at the Cottage Hospital, Madagali,” sources said.

 

It added that the area was calm as at the time of filing this report, while security operations were being sustained to prevent further incidents.
