Army troops kills 3 terrorists, arrest 1 women suspected to be working with Boko Haram

The Nigerian Army troops of the 73 Battalion in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force killed three Boko Haram Boko Haram (BH) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists during a clearance operation in the North East of Borno State.

It was gathered that the insurgents were intercepted on Monday at Kayamla village, in Konduga local government area, while on thier mission to rustled cows from Hardsmen.

An Intelligent Officer told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad that the troops ambushed the insurgents at their crossing point and engaged them, killing three of them in the process.

He said the military went after the insurgents after receiving credible intelligence about their heinous activities in the area.

The sources said "The terrorists have been terrorising and killing Hardsmen and stealing their livestock, especially around the axis of Gubio, Kayamla, Mafa and Konduga general areas.

According to him, one women suspected to be working with the terrorists was also arrested near Kayamla.

"Though, she claimed she was at the location to pick Scrabble and metals, but she would be investigated to ascertain her claims, said the source.
